I had a great experience working with Josh Bob and the team at Career Vision Coaching.
Before joining the program, I found my job search extremely isolating. I had plenty of ideas about what I could do, but not much structure for deciding what I should do or how to present myself effectively. The coaching program gave me that structure.
For me, the biggest strengths of the program were the combination of community, curriculum, and accountability. Having a group of people working toward the same goal made the process much less isolating, the curriculum gave me a framework for approaching every stage of the search, and the regular group coaching sessions kept me making steady progress.
One area that had an especially big impact was interview preparation. Spending the time to carefully prepare and refine my stories gave me a much stronger catalogue of my own experiences. Instead of relying on memorized answers, I found I could adapt those stories naturally to the conversation and the level of technical detail each interviewer wanted. There was one memorable exception, though: my failure story, which I ended up telling almost exactly as we’d prepared it during the panel interview for the role I’m in today.
I’m grateful to Josh Bob and everyone at Career Vision Coaching for helping me turn an overwhelming job search into a deliberate, structured process. I highly recommend them to any tech professionals looking for a structured, supportive, community-driven approach to navigating their job search.
