The process gave me confidence

When I met with Josh I was in a slump. I had failed several job interviews in a row, and had not made it past the first round. These are for roles that I have done before, were more than well qualified for. Something needed to change, as I could not keep on giving the same answers and getting the same poor results. When I was told that I did not get a job as I lacked experience in the very thing I had previously done for two years ago I reached out to Josh.

It started out with the basics, a few tips to modernize my resume and some networking tips. Then I got an interview for a senior position at a financial institution. This was in a position that I had not done before but matched up well with previous work. We met before each interview and carefully went over the job description, and what exactly the individual would be looking for. I learned to truly refine and tailor my answers to match the role and avoid talking about experiences that did not exactly line up. While I did not land that job, I came in second and got great feedback from the company. The process gave me the confidence that the next time I got the chance I would come out successful. A month later I was contacted by a new consulting firm, and Josh carefully guided me through all the steps through the extended process and helped me before each of the six interviews.

Job hunting is hard, having a network of like minded individuals was essential. Do not give in – the right job is out there – and do not be afraid to reach out and get that extra bit of help.
